Color on Color: Spring Fashion Challenge

Hello dolls!

Remember that post I made about something on my wish list? Well I finally got it! Yep, I have two high-low skirts now! I am obsessed.

Polyvore by Me

Thus, this is number three of the challenge: Something I am obsessed with!

I also decided to be bold and pair the bright mint skirt with an equally colorful top. It's possible! Getting out of your comfort zone is a great chance to find a great outfit! I'm normally a "pair neutrals with colors" kind of girl, but not today!

This skirt is fabulous! It's from Forever 21 for $22. Normally that's a bit of a splurge for me, but I could not pass up how beautiful this color was!

The chiffon top is also from Forever 21, but was purchased at Plato's Closet for $5 retail. What a steal!

My sunglasses are also from Forever 21 (just a coincidence, I swear!) I am notorious for losing sunglasses so I always opt for the cheap ones!

Watch my new video below on the entire outfit!

Let me know what you think!

Studded Denim and Wild Curls

Hello Dolls!

Today's Outfit of the Day incorporates two DIY projects!

This cute cropped denim vest was only $4, purchased at Plato's Closet. With the addition of some spikes I turned it into a cool rocker vest for only $10 total!

Here is where you can purchase these studs:

Spring Favorites: Hi-low Skirts

Hello lovelies

Spring is here! Spring is here! You know what that means? Time to break out the shorts, skirts, and dresses that have been hiding away in our closets. Over the next few days, I'm going to cover some of my favorite new trends.

First off, let's take a look at hi-low...well, hi-low anything! Tanks, short sleeves, skirts, dresses; they are all super cute and fashionable for spring! My current obsession is the hi-low skirt.

This skirt below is one of the two I own (the other being a black one with shorts underneath, how awesome is that?!). I bought it at forever21 for only $20, a great deal considering it has the perfect chiffon fabric and a very subtle ombre hue. It's gorgeous!

The great thing about mint/aquamarine is that it can be completely changed simply by how you dress it. For the example below I wore a lace tank with a simple brown belt and sandals. By adding a black shirt and heels, you can easily vamp up the sex appeal.

What is your favorite spring trend? What do you think of hi-low skirts, is it a trend or just a fad?
